Moment vs Curvature Plot in Abaqus/Explicit

Moment vs Curvature Plot in Abaqus/Explicit

Moment vs Curvature Plot in Abaqus/Explicit

(OP)
Dear All,

I am modelling a hollow beam under uniform flexure in Explicit& dynamic step.

I am using displacement control method by applying rotation of PI at the each end of the beam.

The curvature is the rotation radian divided by the length of the hollow beam and the rotation radian can be obtained by multiplying the rotation of PI by LPF.

But how can I obtain the rotation moment on the beam? Do I obtain it from the RM(reaction moment)of field output by using unique node in the model?

Abaqus is so frustrating.
Thank you very much for your help!

RE: Moment vs Curvature Plot in Abaqus/Explicit

Normally I use an extra reference node to control the displacement of the end of the beam using mpc constraints. The rotation and total moment on this single node will then allow me to get curvature and moment values for the beam.
