Books on Construction Methods?

Books on Construction Methods?

Books on Construction Methods?

(OP)
Hi All,

As a design engineer, with a few years office experience and very little site experience, I was looking for recommendations on literature covering all aspects of construction methods.

I was hoping on a few books which cover modern methods of construction, best practices, rules of thumb, etc.

thanks in advance

RE: Books on Construction Methods?

Principles and Practices of Commercial Construction, Andres and Smith

Construction Means, Methods and Equipment, Peurifoy

Thanks Ron,

The first book looks good, although I work in Bridges, so not sure how relevant this will be?

I'm struggling to find the second book?

RE: Books on Construction Methods?

My apologies...I had the title wrong...

Construction Planning, Equipment and Methods by R.L. Peurifoy.

Others you might consider include

ACI Manual of Practice
Concrete by A.M. Neville
Principles and Practices of Hot Mix Asphalt Construction, Manual Series # 2, The Asphalt Institute.
