ASBA command reference ANSYS
ASBA command reference ANSYS
(OP)
Hi all. I have a simple question, but i cant find the answer.
I know how it works the ASBA command.
ASBA,AREA1,AREA2,,KEEP/DELETE,KEEP/DELETE
The question is simple, how can i with this command, select more than one area? For example
If AREA 1 is cut by area 2 and 3 (AT same time), how can i select on "AREA2", the area 2 and 3 at same time. BETTER, WHAT is the command?
Well, it should be possible, because in ANSYS, is possible to pick more than one area in this option, but only manually. I need to know the command.
Thank you for your time

RE: ASBA command reference ANSYS
ASBA
ASBA, NA1, NA2, SEPO, KEEP1, KEEP2
Subtracts areas from areas.
PREP7: Booleans
MP ME ST PR PRN <> <> FL EM EH DY PP <> EME MFS
NA1
Area (or areas, if picking is used) to be subtracted from. If ALL, use all selected areas. Areas specified in this argument are not available for use in the NA2 argument. If P, graphical picking is enabled (valid only in the GUI) and remaining fields are ignored. A component name may also be substituted for NA1.
NA2
Area (or areas, if picking is used) to subtract. If ALL, use all selected areas (except those included in the NA1 argument). A component name may also be substituted for NA2.
I dont want all, or just one area, i want to select two areas on area2, but it doesnt say how it is.
RE: ASBA command reference ANSYS
Select both areas (ASEL) you want to do the subtracting - Component name 2.
ASBA,temp1,temp2.......
As Drej says, the help is really erm, helpful. Don't just read about the ASBA command, also read all associated commands...
