Churhill equation for bitumen froth

Churhill equation for bitumen froth

Churhill equation for bitumen froth

(OP)
I am trying to size bitumen froth lines and I am wondering if I can use churchill's eqn for circular pipes. If not does anyone know what equation to use?
Thanks

RE: Churhill equation for bitumen froth

Well I can't say that I've used it for that.  Foam flows can get a bit tricky as technically they are 2-phase and they may not be newtonian either.  The viscosity of the gas is not equal to the viscosity of the liquid.  Sounds iffy at best.

RE: Churhill equation for bitumen froth

Do you mean the Churchill/Thelen equation to determine the Nusselt no.? Or just "No sports, whisky and cigars"?
