Corrosion data for 410 / 410S Stainless
Corrosion data for 410 / 410S Stainless
(OP)
As described; I want to make a comparison with carbon steel in mild, sometimes wet chlorides in the temperature range 32-170°F. I am considering general corrosion and pitting corrosion.

I'll repeat the comment, if this is casual exposure (like at the beach) it will be an improvement. If there is a chance for the chlorides to dry and concentrate without being washed off then you will just get pitting in place of general rust.
