Copying a complete model database to another abaqus cae window

Copying a complete model database to another abaqus cae window

Copying a complete model database to another abaqus cae window

(OP)
Hello all,

Does anyone know anyway of copying a model from the cae window to another abaqus file? Everything I run an analysis from cae, abaqus just shuts down with no error message or reason I can see. I was going to try moving the whole database to a new file and try again.

I think the problem may have started from moving my .cae file from one network drive to another.

Thanks in advanced.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this, thanks.

RE: Copying a complete model database to another abaqus cae window

Hi Jlog,

I've had a similar experience myself and unfortunately was not able to resolve it and had to resort to starting over on my model.  Some things you may try:

- make sure you go to the assembly module and click on Feature-Regenerate.

- instead of submitting your job through CAE, write out an input file first and then submit the input file to the solver using the Abaqus Command Prompt.

Hope this helps,
-CM
