Oil and Gas - Condensate Flash Off
Oil and Gas - Condensate Flash Off
(OP)
Offshore we have a vessel which is taking condensate and allowing a certain volume and composition of gas to flash off and be vented (see attached - vessel in question is the liquid/gas vessel in the middle)
In the office our HySys is not working at the moment and i need to calculate the volume of gas that would be flashed off from the vessel. Vessel pressure is 38 bar and the temperature is 62DegC. I have also shown the compositon of the condensate in the attachment.
Can anyone help me with this issue?
Thanks

RE: Oil and Gas - Condensate Flash Off
Do the same technique on a mass basisif you want.
RE: Oil and Gas - Condensate Flash Off
If VLE is required at some different p,t then you need to solve a isothermal (or may be a adiabatic) flash, for that you don't need a simulator which may be (in general) complex to utilize, Excel with a little library can provide all what you need.

IMHO: Contact a professional consultant if you cannot get the final result yourself or in-house.
