size comp needed?

size comp needed?

size comp needed?

(OP)
What size comp would I need if I plan to pull on 6 gas wells through my treatment plant, and I want a daily output of say 600mcf-to-750mcf? I need a NG engine/compressor. Pipeline is 14miles to main trunkline and size is 6".
Thank You

RE: size comp needed?

Well if you were pulling from a deep vacuum on the suction to 10,000 psig discharge, you would need a REALLY big compressor.  Other than that, without knowing the suction and discharge pressures and temperatures, and the kind of gas you're compressing, any answer would be meaningless.

RE: size comp needed?

you can "want" 600mcfd all you want to, but if the gas is not there, then sorry, you ain't gonmna get 600mcfd.

I suggest to start small. size up a unit for 300 mscf and see how well the system works.

A 6" line can carry way more than 600 mcfd at 200 psig or higher, so it isn't the limit.

Treatment plant?

RE: size comp needed?

without suction and discharge pressures size for flow cannot be determined, most process plants require pressure to work properly, the unit will likely need to pull from the wells and push through the plant to the pipeline
