I've to model a honeycomb structure to analyse its in NASTRAN. I'm able to model laminated composite but not to model honeycomb. I've a task.
I've to use a solid 3D for the core and CQUAD4 for the fabric top/bottom facesheets.
I've the mechanical property of the fabric and the core.
I'm using MAT9 for the solid 3D. It's not easy to understand the meaning of the Gij in the MAT9. Does anybody help me?
I know that is possible to model the honeycomb with PCOMP, MAT8, CQUAD4 as for the solid laminated composite, but my supervisor prefer to have the core with 3D. Does anybody know which model is the best? Our structure is a wing with skin in honeycomb and we have to size its against buckling.

thanks in advance
