"save as" is not working on library parts

"save as" is not working on library parts

"save as" is not working on library parts

(OP)
Hi Everyone
we are running 7.0.1.7 MP2 on win xp 64 we recently upgraded from nx 4.0

we have library parts for nitrogen cylinders, punches, buttons etc. the parts are made using the spread sheet method. when we do a save as and save the component with a new name the file name changes and all seams well. then i navigate to this component in the assembly right click go to properties -> general in this area the part name is still the original library part name. is there a way to fix this? the reason being when i run my grip programs it is using this name not the new part file name and it is messing things up. any help is appreciated
thanks

RE: "save as" is not working on library parts

I can't reproduce this behavior using NX 7.0.1.7.  I suggest that you contact GTAC and have them look at your files and workflow.
