Issues with Solidworks-Abaqus Associative link

Issues with Solidworks-Abaqus Associative link

(OP)
Hello all,

I am starting to us the Abaqus Associative link module, developed it seems by by thost behind Abaqus.

I am trying to link a simple model into abaqus from solidworks, so when I run an analysis I can make a change without having to reimport and remodel the geometry.  The problem is there doesn't seem to be any issues with my geometry in soldiworks, but in Abaqus it says that one of my edges is "InitiallyInvalid". I can try to repair this abaqus, but I am concerned that it is a sign of further problems that may crop up as I go along with this. I would rather solve the problem up front.

It seems to import the model automatically as a SAT, I don't think I can change this.

Has anyone had any similar problems or experience with using the Solidworkd-Abaqus Associative link module?

Thanks
