My boss suggests SAP 2000 for crane calculation. I work in Europe so the standards supported should be european too.

We now have a perfect working program : Krasta. German and very good supported. Costs 3000 Eu single seat.

RE: sap 2000 suited for crane calculation

Dear SacovanLoon,
SAP2000 is suitable for any type of steel structure, the design tool is really useful. The loads you are planning to use are mainly static (with a impact factor I guess)?

RE: sap 2000 suited for crane calculation

I know Kastra , and is very powerfull for the design of Machine structures. Verify fatigue using 10 differents methos, etc. I will like to know if there is any tutorial for Kastra with examples. The manual dont have any tutorial. I learn something through one friend who took a seminar in Germany.
Do you know any writed material for Kastra, somebody knows?
