Interpretation of AIA 2006 Healthcare Guidelines
Interpretation of AIA 2006 Healthcare Guidelines
(OP)
I need some help interpreting the following:
On page 120 in the green appendix box it states that the recommended air changes for an operating room is 20 - 25. But in table 2.1-2 on page 130 it seems to indicate a different recommendation of 15.
Can someone help me understand the reason for this difference?
Also, didn't the table in the 2001 edition state 25 ach? I don't have a copy of it, but I've seen excerpts on the net reported to be the AIA table that say 25 ach.
Why would the table change from 25 down to 15 without a mention of why?
I realize these may be rookie questions for some of you, but I am a learning Industrial Hygiene and want to understand this.

I can't comment on the 2001 as I can't find our copy of it right now.
For what it's worth, 2010 now requires 20 ACH.
