Boiler Room heat control
Boiler Room heat control
(OP)
Direct vent boilers eliminate the need for boiler room air vents for combustion air and dilution air. The boiler rooms (or central domestic hot water rooms) still get hot (esp. since they are getting smaller). Is there any criteria for heat to the boiler room that can be used to design a heat control ventilation system?

RE: Boiler Room heat control
However, I'd say that a heat gain of 1% of boiler load would be a reasonable assumption for a heat control vent system.
RE: Boiler Room heat control
When you put it in equation for heat rejection together with desired max. room temperture and coincidental outside temperature, you will get exhaust air flow needed.
You will have, however, to recheck and eventually redesign system of introducting fresh air for combustion purposes.
