Sheet metal bug? SW2011 SP0

Sheet metal bug? SW2011 SP0

(OP)
I have had a bug with the sheet metal feature of SW2011, SP0.

I usually create sheet metal parts for door frames then do a 45° cut in the corners to create a mitre. When solidowkrs notices the 45° cut intersecting a faces normal to the sketch plane it jogs the cut, however for some reason it no longer jogs it and creates a straight cut line and bogus cut file.

How do I fix this, I need to know quite urgently as my bos wants the flat pattern files by the end of the day :S

Ok, I have found the solution and feel like a bit of a jerk. I had to heve the 'normal cut' button checked in the cut extrude. OOps :)

RE: Sheet metal bug? SW2011 SP0

I didn't open your file but you could extrude as a surface body, trim and then thicken.

Tried to open but reports "future version"
To me it is early yet to be using 2011, or am I just slower that everyone else?

Not necessarily slower ... just more cautious.

RE: Sheet metal bug? SW2011 SP0

Or in my case lazier

RE: Sheet metal bug? SW2011 SP0

just say no to SP0
