Spine Model

Spine Model

(OP)
Does anyone know where I can get a model of the human spine that isn't a cruddy .3ds file?  I don't mind paying, but if I'm going to pay I'd like a file format that has smooth surfaces in SW.  I can do a Google search, I'm just wondering if anyone here has a site they recommend.

RE: Spine Model

I have one from a previous life, but it's just imported solid bodies (naturally) that may have at one point been .3ds so I don't think that's what you want.

RE: Spine Model

I'll have to find it on one of my CDs somewhere...it's a pretty huge file though, is there a limit on Engineering.com?

If you suppress all of the features and zip it the files are considerably smaller.  Don't know what the limit is, though.

RE: Spine Model

Well it's an assembly of imported parts and sub assemblies (no features) so I don't know if that would help. It would also be time consuming to go thru each file to suppress the body. A zip file is ~82 MB.

A zipped export of an IGES file, on the other hand, is only 4 megs... I'll upload that first as it might serve you the same way. Oh and for some reason a few of the disc solid bodies disappeared--they are in the assembly but not showing up.
