Suggested Ways to Model Transition
Suggested Ways to Model Transition
(OP)
Hi NX'rs,
I'm attempting to model a component that has a little bit of transition curvature & twist to it. Additionally, the twist & transition has to go from thin to thick area (or vice versa).
I attached a screen shot for reference. In this model, I'm attempting to remodel it, making a cleaner parametric model, than the original.
Thanks again...

Believe or not, that is how the actual part looks now. The previous modeler did a hack job to create this model & now I'm attempting to make a "cleaner & more parametric" model of this same part.
Originally, the previous modeler imported a bunch of splines & modeled away with sheet bodies defining curvatures, transitions, etc. Surprisingly, the model was fairly accurate, but because it's not parametric, it's extremely difficult to modify, without having other features blow up.
The image you see is the image of the actual CAD file.
Thanks
