Best method to import 3Dstudio max files

Best method to import 3Dstudio max files

(OP)
I'm working to bring in some models off of Turbosquid and use them in a rendering. Any thoughts on the best way to bring in 3d studio files and easily use them in Solidworks?

STL files have been coming in with thousands of triangular faces, which is a pain to apply appearances to. And there is always an issue exporting as an IGES file.

Thanks in advance.
