Illinois PE
Illinois PE
(OP)
Has anyone in here recently been on the Illinois PE registration website? Talk about utterly confusing...
They have 3 tests listed with no explenation:
The EIT test, which I already know.
The P&P test, ie the PE test which is self explanitory.
Then the one I don't get
The Fundamentls and P&P which has the same testing code as the P&P standard and same fee....
I tried for the past several days to reach someone in the office there, but the phone just rings an rings with no help...
Anyone know what that 3rd is?

That may answer your question.

Thanks all for the help...
I suppose I will have to petition the board then to allow me to take the PE and FE Friday / Saturday style.... I know I meet the requirements for the PE (minus the FE completion) so I can't see why they would reject me.
RE: Illinois PE
The terms EIT (Engineer In Training) and FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) are synonymous terms. One is the original and one the newer term. So when they say "Fundamentals and P&P" they are referring to the two tests that you do know about. Try that explination in the context of the web site and see if it works.
