Flatten cone with spherical tip

Flatten cone with spherical tip

Flatten cone with spherical tip

(OP)
I need to flatten a cone which has a spherical tip.  The inside is hollow and the shell thickness is .0035".  I've attached an image.  I don't have much surfacing or sheet metal experience (in UGNX6 that is).  Goal is to make a flat pattern I can cut out into a decal that will wrap around  the shape.  I'm thinking the spherial surface will have to deform some and will probably wrinkle a bit in the final decal. I have a 0.030" hole in the tip of the sphere for material relief.

Any help appreciated.  Thanks...

RE: Flatten cone with spherical tip

If you have a spherical surface, the decal will wrinkle a lot.
