Hurri bolt vs. Simpson connectors?

Hurri bolt vs. Simpson connectors?

Hurri bolt vs. Simpson connectors?

(OP)
I'm currently working on a 3-story multifamily project in a high wind zone.  Does anyone have any experience with the Hurri Bolt system and do you recommend this over Simpson holdowns?  We generally use the standard Simpson straps but for this project it looks like the Hurri Bolts would be a good alternative.  Any thoughts?

RE: Hurri bolt vs. Simpson connectors?

Commonly used in Florida. Not necessarily "Hurri-Bolt" but same concept...surprise that they have a patent on something that is used similarly in a variety of applications.

RE: Hurri bolt vs. Simpson connectors?

Looks similar to the Simpson ATS system, but with more eccentricity in the connection and no focus from the internet sites that I could see on the wood end column sizes.
