EPR Resistance/Reactance Data

EPR Resistance/Reactance Data

I have obtained resistance and reactance values for low and medium voltage cables manufactured in PVC and XLPE insulations (as per IEC 502, BS 6346 for LV cables and IEC 502 and BS 6622 for MV cables).

However, our application is for EPR cables. Is there a possibility that I can use any of the resistance and reactance values of either PVC or XLPE cables?

Which one may be safely considered to be conservative.

Thank you for any suggestions that anyone and come up with.

RE: EPR Resistance/Reactance Data

If all of the dimensions are the same and the shielding is the same, there will be no difference in resistance and inductive reactance.  There will be a difference in capacitance and dielectric losses.

Thanks for the valuable information
