desalter fresh water mixing valve

(OP)
Could someone with experience in crude desalting tell me what you use to mix the fresh water with the crude upstream of the desalter vessel? I am told that Fisher double ported A body valves were used in the past, but since Fisher stopped making that body style years ago, I would like to know what is currently being used.

Also, any tips on how to position this valve (pressure drop, etc.) would be appreciated.

Thanks.

RE: desalter fresh water mixing valve

We have two stage crude desalting unit, each stage using mixing valve upstream the vessels to mix fresh water and crude.
