NX7 out of date drawing views

NX7 out of date drawing views

NX7 out of date drawing views

(OP)
We've run into an issue with NX7 since we've changed over from NX5.  When we're in drafting, the note in the lower left of the window will say that the views are out of date.  When you go to update the views, they don't highlight like they should if they really were out of date.  If you select all the views on the sheet and update them, it still says they're out of date.  has anyone else run into this issue?

Thanks in advance,

Al

RE: NX7 out of date drawing views

I'm not able to reproduce this behavior using NX 7.5.2.5 (which will be available for download early next week).

I recommend that since we are this close to the next full maintenance release that you download and install this MR as soon as possible and then if you're still experiencing this issue, that you contact GTAC and have them look at it.

John,

We're using NX 7.0.0.9 with Teamcenter Express 5.  We cannot go to 7.5 until the next upgrade for Teamcenter Express 5 comes out in December.  We're very upset that the the various groups at Seimens cannot work together to get their respective products out in a timely manner.  We've had the 7.5 upgrade sitting on our shelves for quite some time and we have to wait another month to use it because we need to upgrade Teamcenter Express first.

We've also heard that another company here in San Antonio is running into the same issues with drawing views.  I don't know if it's related to Teamcenter or UG, but it's annoying.  Again I ask, are any users out there running into this issue?  I can't imagine that we're the only two companies running into this.

Thanks,

Al

RE: NX7 out of date drawing views

Al,

Could you at least upgrade to NX 7.0.1.7 ?

NX 6.0.5.3
Windows XP32

RE: NX7 out of date drawing views

7.0.0.9 sounds like the initial release of NX7 and like the prior poster, I would recommend that you get to the latest MR of NX7 that will work with TC Express5.

When we upgraded our Teamcenter Express and installed NX7 3 weeks ago, we were told that was the latest version of NX7.  Are there any issues in particular that are addressed in the MR?

RE: NX7 out of date drawing views

@ John, could you provide a date when we can expect the MR for NX 7.5?

Thanks!

Best regards,

Michäël.

RE: NX7 out of date drawing views

According to the Gtec guys, the issue was within 7.5 . This is fixed with the 7.5.2.5 MP which is available now.

My gripe about this update though is that it seemed to reset all my customer preferences for whatever reason :(
