Shrink/Thermal fit question

Shrink/Thermal fit question

Shrink/Thermal fit question

(OP)
Hi,

I am looking for good source, book/web link/whatever, on shrink fit. If I were to press fit a shaft on a plastic cylinder I want to be able to find out the increase in diameter of the plastic ring. If anybody could suggest something I would really appreciate it.

Thanks.

RE: Shrink/Thermal fit question

I got plenty of hits on searching 'shrink fit calculator'.

RE: Shrink/Thermal fit question

Many previous threads on this one.  Interference fits can be surfed on the web with great results.  Consider that as a google phrase or others under thick wall pressure vessel theory.  Same-same.
