Brushless Synchronous motor FDR

(OP)
I am looking for the supplier for the Field Discharge Resistor for the brushless synchronous motor to be mounted on shaft. I am also looking for the control module to control the switiching of the DC excitation to the rotor poles.
Thanks Ram

RE: Brushless Synchronous motor FDR

Those devices are part of the rotating rectifier assembly and to my knowledge can only be obtained from the original motor manufacturer.

RE: Brushless Synchronous motor FDR

Again, as has been said in another thread about an excitation system, a day or two ago, you have to provide more information:

How big the unit, how old the unit, what OEM, why do you think there is a fault... Was there a bad sync or an accident, what starting method is used, what is the application..

In principle the OEM has to be asked. If the OEM still exists, that is. Many do not anymore.
