Does anybody know where I can find measurements (tables, diagrams, anything) of the magnetic field from ships?

Many thanks in advance

RE: magnetic measurements

Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ackermann and Dipl.-Ing. Peters from Harburg University in Germany made some experiments to identify sunken ships by their magnetic field in Germany 1995. Perhaps they can help You. The links leads You to the experiment.

The German Navy has also material. Some ignitors of ground mines were working with the magnetic field of a ship.

Thank you Andreas. Interesting reading.

Since you mention it, is it possible to get this kind of information from the Navy? In my experience that can be difficult. Do you have any suggestion how I can make contact?

RE: magnetic measurements

Surely you're joking.  If you are not a military contractor, you'll probably and should get zip.

This information would certainly qualify as a potential vulnerability of a military system and is normally classified SECRET.
