Hydraulic valve of Aluminum -

Hydraulic valve of Aluminum -

(OP)
Hi All,

I am working on a hydraulic valve made of aluminum, and some moving parts inside made of stainless steel. It needs to be dimensioned for a relatively high pressure (350bar+).

I am not any good at dimension hydraulic components with consideration of fatigue. I would be thankful if someone could give me some clues on what I should consider, or where I can obtain information about this.

What I have thought about so far:
Mechanical wear: Aluminum is a soft metal compared to steel, so where it is moving parts I am planning to have "steel-facing-steel"

Thanks,

FlashT

Fatigue is not directly related to dimensioning.

Why not call up the engineer they fired to pay for the CAD system?

If you do not know how to do stress analyses you should not be designing this hydraulic valve.
