what are the problems,if single core cables are laid side by side position instead of trefoil,I need a clear refrence that calculate amount of eddy current that produce in side by side formation.

It is basically a balance between circulating shield currents and mutual cable heating.  Trefoil configuration minimizes spacing which minimizes circulating currents but maximizes mutual heating.

Trefoil also keeps core impedances evenly balanced, and minimises the external magnetic field.
