PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

(OP)
So it says that all personal items must be in a clear plastic bag. Does that go for reference books too? I'm thinking its gonna be a pain to find a clear backpack before Friday. I'm taking the exam in NY state.

RE: PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

I beleive it means cell phones, wallets, cheat sheets, gum, anatacids, whiskey, drugs, coins, knives, pencils/pens, cigs, lighters, etc

Kind of like at the airport.... but I might be wrong.

RE: PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

That's what I was thinking (hoping). Kind of pointless though, if you can bring your reference material in any thing.

RE: PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

Never mind about this question.....I was reading guidelines for the FE exam. There are no restrictions on the PE.

RE: PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

Kinda late to give you this link... since the exam is this weekend.

www.engineerboards.com

is an excellent forum geared towards individuals who are taking the PE exams.

Thanks, there's still time for it to be useful.

RE: PE Exam- Question about bringing Reference books

About the only thing for the PE that they're going to check is the calculator.  They WILL check to make sure that you have one of the approved models, and they WILL NOT allow you to take the exam if yours is verboten.

Other than that, the rules for the PE are largely geared toward preventing you from bringing test material out of the exam, not to prevent you from bringing anything in.
