A513 Mechanical Tubing

(OP)
I have a contractor that wants to use ASTM A513 mechanical tubing for sub-framing between open web joists.  In order to check the design I need to know the yield strength of this material.  Does anybody know what it is?

RE: A513 Mechanical Tubing

I am sure you can google it as good as any of us.

RE: A513 Mechanical Tubing

It depends on the specific grade specified in A513.  Values vary from 23 ksi to 100 ksi depending on composition and whether it is "as-welded", "normalized", "sink-drawn" or "mandrel drawn".
