SW Part for Customer

Hi all,

I'm looking to save a SolidWorks assembly as a single-body part so that dimensions cannot be taken from this, and in the model tree, it says only one part is in view instead of multiple bodies. I used to know how to do it, but time has erased that part of my memory. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

RE: SW Part for Customer

File>Save As...under Save As Type, select Part, then you will get more options for Geometry to Save, select Exterior Faces.  Be aware that if they have a CAD system they will still be able to pull dims off the model.

RE: SW Part for Customer

Once you save it per MadMango's comment, you can save that as an eDrawings and limit the rights of users to prevent them from taking measurements.
