fluid structure interaction with ansys

fluid structure interaction with ansys

(OP)
Hello,all
I want to do two analyses:
1- interaction between rotor-fluid in gas turbine for rotordynamic analysis

2- interaction between a fan and fluid. Some part the fan is inside the fluid and some out of it. for this case I have the profile of load on the fan. Do I need to do a fluid-structure interaction when I have profile of loads?( I want to do stress analysis (and fatigue)(search failure on model)

thanks in advance for any comment.

RE: fluid structure interaction with ansys

If you have all the loads on a structure and you are only interested in a stress analysis (including fatigue), then there is no benefit from performing a fluid-structure interaction analysis.
