Systems Engineering Major

(OP)
Hi guys,

I am planning to get my undergrad in Systems Engineering and than i will be going for my masters too in the same field. Anybody here who has done Systems Engineering or has some idea about it and don't mind answering my questions, it would be a great help to me. I have few questions regarding Systems Engineering. Here it is:-

-What is Systems Engineering? Please tell me in details like what they do?

-Is it worth going for this major?

-I live in VA, so is there good money in this field?

-Will i be in involved in a lot of math stuff at work?

-Some people say this is a management job, what do they mean by that?

-Will i be working on the computer the whole time or am i gonna have to write letters and do a lot of presentations??

- is masters worth going for if i wanna go for this major?

- Somebody said that its better to speak few languages if you wanna major in this field.. what does it mean??

i think thats about it.
I know i am posting this in the wrong forum but they dont have any section for Systems Engineering. Also, let me know if you have any suggestions or comments, i  would be apprecaite it

thanks guys

RE: Systems Engineering Major

How does one select a major without actually knowing what is involved (even from a 10,000 foot view)?  Not knowing whether or not math is involved?

And asking someone else if it's worth pursuing a career in it?  Isn't that a personal decision?
