Floworks analysis problem

Floworks analysis problem

Floworks analysis problem

(OP)
I have a part I am trying to do an internal CFD analysis on with Flow simulation. The part is completely closed, actually combined all separate peices to form one body, with an internal cavity.  When I run the check volume in the tools menu it tells me fluid volume is zero, but it's not telling me where there are any open gaps.  Any hints on how to troubleshoot this?

thanks.

RE: Floworks analysis problem

Fluid volume of zero suggests there is no internal cavity.

RE: Floworks analysis problem

One way to check for where the gaps are is to extrude a large cube that fully covers the part you want to analyze, but don't click on the 'merge' option.  Then subtract the actual part from this body.  If you have a fully enclosed cavity this will result in two bodies - if not, investigate the single body to see where the connection points are.
