How to apply shear stress to one surface in ABAQUS

How to apply shear stress to one surface in ABAQUS

(OP)
I am new to Eng-Tips but I've been reading it non-stop since I first began using ABAQUS a month ago. This is my first post.

Question: How can I apply a shear stress to a surface of my part? I do not wish to apply this stress uniformly throughout my model, as is my frustrating situation at the moment. I would simply like to apply a shear displacement acting only on the nodes in my selected surface and in a direction parallel to my surface.

I am working with a simple 8-node brick solid part.

Thank you in advance.

Figured it out. Overlooked a dimension option.
