Exclaimation point on notes, V5r18

(OP)
I am trying to select some annotation in a .CATproduct.  The annotation is grayed out and there's a ! on the notes in the feature tree.

What is going on with this text?  I cannot select it or copy/paste it.

Anyone have any idea?

Thank you.

RE: Exclaimation point on notes, V5r18

That yellow ! symbol is a warning that there's a problem with the annotation. For example; it's no longer connected to the 3D feature it describes.

Try right-clicking the annotation and see if there's an option for "diagnosis" that will tell you what's wrong and might allow you to fix it.

Worse case: delete it and recreate a new annotation.

sometimes annotation are link to 3d point. Make sure your assembly is in design mode, this might help.
