Harmonics With UPS

(OP)
Hello ,I wonder what happens in way of Harmonics when you supply your panel thru a ups? harmonics come out upstream or downstream?

RE: Harmonics With UPS

In most cases nothing drastic.

Harmonics on line side of the UPS will be dictated largely by the design of the UPS and not by the load's characteristics. UPS are designed to handle harmonic loads and they also have filters to minimize harmonics on its line side.

Harmonics "seen" by UPS will be dependent on its load characteristics.
