SAP2000 Shell Error

SAP2000 Shell Error

SAP2000 Shell Error

(OP)
We have a rather large model that has been run, with several hundred load cases.  The run has completed successfully, but when we try to view the stress/force/moment results, we get a "error in recovering shell results" error, followed by "error in reading shell results", sometimes there is a third error as well.

Is it likely that this is a memory issue? or is something else going on with the program?  We can still view the deformed shape without a problem.

All of the stress/force/moment values in the tables are either completely deleted or set to 0.

Any help or insight would be wonderful!  Thank you.

RE: SAP2000 Shell Error

it's most likely a memory issue, yes....

try closing any opened application and if that doesn't work consider either buying more memory or switching to another software more capable..

RE: SAP2000 Shell Error

Did SAP2000 report any instabilities during the analysis? Because that can cause problems in reporting results. If you can't figure it out, send the .sdb model to CSI tech support. They'll give you a definitive answer
