Disappearing Lines in Drafting; NX5
Disappearing Lines in Drafting; NX5
(OP)
When I go from modeling to drafting some of the lines that are part of my model do not show up. For example if I am trying to make a drawing of a bolt assembly the line representing the edge of the bolt disappears from the bottom of the nut to the end that is chamfered. Does this make sense?

Sometimes a part clean-up will fix it.

You may need to use view dependent editing to fix that, which is not a terrible thing - just more work.

View dependent editing > you can make an edge (or curve) in a drawing view a differnt color, font, width than how it shows up in the drawing and it won't affect the model.
Edit > view > view dependent editing
It will take some practice when working with it for the first time. Just ask more questions on here if you need more help.
a tip: make all the hidden lines in that view dashed. Then view dependent edit the entities that you want solid (solid is a "font") - then when you make the dashed lines invisible the ones that you view dependently edited will stay the way you changed them.

Select the view where the curves are not being seen, press MB3 and select 'Style'. Open the tab labeled 'Hidden Lines' and try selecting the options in the section of the dialog labeled 'Interfering Solids' and see if this solves the problem after you've regenerated the Drawing views
