SIEMENS 1GG5 DC Motor

Hi Guys,

I am wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a company that offer spares such as brush holders and springs for the SIEMENS 1GG5 DC Motor. I have been on to SIEMENS and while this product is still in the catalogue my motor is over 20 years old and no information is on there system and so they cannot help.if you know any independant parts supplier this would be a big help.

Thank you

F.E.G

RE: SIEMENS 1GG5 DC Motor

Custom brushes can be sourced from aftermarker suppliers.  Google "DC Motor Brushes" for suppliers.  The rest of the internal components are going to be difficult to find with the possible exception of brush springs.

Winder shops?

They repair old motors. Should have spares available.

RE: SIEMENS 1GG5 DC Motor

20 years isn't that old. I think Siemens DC motor operation is based out of Germany - if you talk to the right part of the Siemens empire I bet someone can help you.
