How to rigid a surface and apply B.C. on edges of surface together

How to rigid a surface and apply B.C. on edges of surface together

How to rigid a surface and apply B.C. on edges of surface together

(OP)
Hi Dear All,
My Model is a cube,working in Standard CAE, element type is C3D20R and i have to find out shear modulus. For that i am applying displacement BC on Z=L plane in U11 direction.BC are as follows

Plane     X               Y             Z
Z=L       .002            0             0
Z=0        0              0             0
Y=L        Free           0             0
Y= 0       Free           0             0

I am making Plane X=0 and X=L rigid,,, so that i could get plane surfaaces at x=0 and X=L plane after deformation.

Error i am gettinng is inactive degree of freedom,,,bcz surfaces which are rigid also have BC on their edge nodes.

Any kind of help will be highly appreciated.
thanks

How are you making only a a part of an object rigid?

ya i am making two surfaces of an object rigid

I am making two surfaces(in X Planes) of a cube rigid, and its a 3D problem.
While edge nodes of those two surfaces are shared with other surfaces(in planes Y and Z)which have boundary conditions.
So i get warning of inactive degrees of freedom
