Assembly Navigator

Assembly Navigator

Assembly Navigator

(OP)
Hello All,

We have an assembly with 20 subassemblies and total 250 parts. We have to modify some parts.
We are facing problems for searching particular part.
Can anyone knows-
How to perform part search in assembly navigator?
Please suggest.

Have a nice day.
Regards,
Amar Halake

RE: Assembly Navigator

assemblies (pull-down) > content control > find component
or in the ANT:
rmc (right mose click) in the grey space near "descriptive part name" > find selected components

RE: Assembly Navigator

Or select a component > right-click on the ANAV header zone > 'Expand To Selected'

RE: Assembly Navigator

ALso the other way round, If you can see a part on screen but can't find it in the assembly navigator ...

* Right click in a blank area of the assembly navigator.
* Select "Find Selected Components"
* Pick the parts you can see.
The assy navigator will automatically expand the contents so you can see your part.

Hopefully useful.
Jon

RE: Assembly Navigator

I have a toolbar above my assy navigator with the buttons "Expand to Selected" and "Expand to Work" refering to selected part and work part.  Like JonSelby pointed out, its a quick way to get to a part that you can see and select in the graphic window.
