Breaking an ISO view

Breaking an ISO view

Breaking an ISO view

(OP)
Hello all,
Another SW user here just asked me if there is a way to break an ISO view.  I am not aware of a way to do it since SW only gives horizontal and vertical break options.  Anyone else have a way of doing this?

Thanks in advance,
BB

RE: Breaking an ISO view

You can break an ISO view, just like standard model views (Front, Top Left), but you are limited to vertical & horizontal break lines

i dont think SW will let your break-lines to be aligned with the Isometric view

RE: Breaking an ISO view

I've done it as a cheat- 2 views, each w/ parts hidden, sketch in the breaks, align by eye.

Since a fish mouth for a break is not an option, I sketch those in.

RE: Breaking an ISO view

moon161 ... As CADFlyer pointed out, a Broken View can be applied to an isometric view. The Small Zigzag Cut option can be used in place of the "fish mouth".

RE: Breaking an ISO view

2 views, cropped and eyeballed. just use a closed loop and zig-zag the line. CAKE!
