Adding Tolerances at Model Level Dimensions
Adding Tolerances at Model Level Dimensions
(OP)
I was wondering if many people add tolerances at the model level of dimensions or do most add them at the drawing level? I know adding them at the model level does not have any use if you are not importing model dimensions to the drawing so I guess thoughts on the usefulness of importing model dimensions will be addressed as well.
Thanks for any input.

You bring up a good point about the part being absolute so no tolerances being added at that level. However, I believe that the only reason people are adding the tolerances at the part level is to streamline the drawing process when inserting model dimensions.
Thanks for your input,

If a vendor is going to use our model, I will add all tolerances.

Should automate fit lookup, and reduce transcription errors as well.
