any suggestions on drill hole size for a 1/2-13 thread mill. It'll be in 3/4" thick 304SS. We had some problems in the past with this material using a cut tread and had to open the hole larger than recomended.

from what i've seen you drill the the minor diameter size. anyone have any experience with this?

RE: thread mill

The thread mill doesn't cut the minor.  You machine it first to be within the size limits required by the standard.
