Effects of Temperature on Burnout

Effects of Temperature on Burnout

Effects of Temperature on Burnout

(OP)
The situation is this,

An alloy containing magnesium begins to lower its magnesium content when heated above 1166 deg F (magnesium ignition temperature) When said alloy is heated above this temperature (1500-1700F) what are the effects on the rate of loss of magnesium?

Is it a marginal increase (10-20%) or something more drastic

any guidance / links to research would be appreciated.

thanks in advance
