Render "Scene" restarts itself after any change

Render "Scene" restarts itself after any change

Render "Scene" restarts itself after any change

(OP)
This problem seems to be intermittent and I'm not sure what I'm doing to trigger it (if anything). But everytime I do anything in ERA after hitting the render "Scene" button, it will restart the render. If I change the view or even hover over an object in the pathfinder it will start a new render. It will even do it when some windows are open (like "Save as Image").

Under the "Render Setup" window (little button next to "Scene" and "Render Area" buttons), none of the options are checked. Tried checking them and closing the window and re-opening and unchecking, but that did not help.

This problem is really slowing down our rendering process for a presentation this week!

Any ideas?

Thanks - Mason

RE: Render "Scene" restarts itself after any change

I've been messing with this for over an hour and finally decided to post this problem...about a minute after posting I resolved it!

In case anyone ever runs into this problem:
I hit the "View" button and noticed the "Render Mode" was set to "Wireframe" but it was displaying as if it was set to "Smooth with VHL Overlay" - I changed it and it hit OK - it stopped doing the re-render thing. I assume it's a bug, and an annoying one at that.
