The analysis skips over the recycle phase of the aluminum v. steel question. It is much less energy intensive to recycle aluminum or steel that to produce it from ore. Aluminum can be used plain; steel requires paint.

Thank you very much for your feedback.

You are correct, we did cover recycled materials in the post; however the full inkavera study covers the use of recycled aluminum and steel in wheels. Furthermore, we are planning to expand on the benefits of using recycled materials in an upcoming post.
