View updating issues

Having an issue with views not updating on an assy dwg using 7.5 .
Had to make some changes to the model and now the views wont update and I get the evil

Error: Internal error: memory access violation
What would cause this ? And I honestly dont want to or have the time to redo 2 pages woth of imported views and projected views/details taken from this view.

Along the same lines, when you add a detail view to your drawing and you make any revisions to your model, it kills your connectivity to the master view. The only way to get that back is to go to MB3 and make it an independent view.
